Probably would like to get to the Big Dance one more time.

The individual records also mean something to him. I can't see him retiring until AFTER Brady retires. But, most importantly, he has said many times that he has no plans on retiring as long as he still enjoys the game. From every indication he definitely still does.

He should take a month or so. Free agency doesn't start until mid March. Part of the reason for that is so players and teams don't make rash decisions.

Just quit playing games and come back. Don’t let Brady take your records in one more trash season for him. You have the team around you to win it all so go out on top.

Even if he played next season for league minimum which is $1Million dollars for Drew, he would be an absolute fool to telegraph his intentions before that negotiation which just so happens to be coming up in 6 weeks.

He is delaying nothing in regards to the team and planning. The Saints are valued at roughly $2.3BN and if Loomis doesn't have succession plans in place for Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, any one that is key to the franchises value he isn't worthy of the position that he holds. This is especially for Drew Brees who is year to year and was injured this year... There are plans in concrete already. Drews status will be known well before the legal tampering period that starts 16th of March, Free Agency, or the Draft...:bng:

There's no way someone as competitive and healthy as he is quits.

Pretty much everybody on NFL Radio agrees. The only person I have heard that feels certain that Brees will retire was Booger "Dumbass" McFarland during the Pro Bowl game that said he will bet money that Brees retires and the Saints will have a competition between Bridgewater and Hill as to who starts.

What a dumbass.

We're talking Loomis here. He's not a hands on GM as it is. He's just an accountant.

The first day of the 2020 league year will end at 11:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 18.

The Saints staff can do nothing till this date.

Taking a Month or so has no impact on "delaying the coaching staff from plans to go in another direction"
