Re: Drew Brees will “give it a month or so” before making his decision
We have a good 28 million we can easily reduce. Rankins is gone. No dead money and saves us near 8 mil. Janoris is over 11 mil with no dead money, probably sign him and save substantial on that number. Larry w saves us over 8 mil with a cut, probably resign and save. Prob is gone...again, cant imagine he stays. We should have a lot of cap space

Looking at the interior defense when he was out, you could tell his ability was missed. With the injury track record, he'll be very affordable. Top talent but unfortunate injuries. Moderate offer with incentives. |

Did he say which Boy and Girls club he is using to broad cast his decision?

I am quite sure a $2BN franchise has accountants, Loomis is not one of them. His under graduate is in accounting but his Masters is in Sports Administration. |

LOL of course Drew is going to wait until after the season ticket deadline, so we have to send in our renewal money to the Bensons, not knowing if he'll be there or not. LOL.

Brees better make up his mind and stop holding this team hostage, we have 2 quarterbacks that can win

Re: Drew Brees will “give it a month or so” before making his decision
He's going to be 41 years old this coming season.
Brees has already declined steeply. It's ignored cause we as fans are biased towards our legendary HoF QB, but age catches up with everyone. He has a ring, all the records he wanted and we have a young hot shot in Bridgewater waiting in the wings to start. I hope he does retire and we move on with Bridgewater starting. As much as I love Brees, I do not love watching legends past their prime still trying to push themselves. It was sad watching Manning and Favre in their last years. It's been sad watching Brady the last 2 years. Brees' decline has been very real, but is often ignored cause he still posts high completion percentage stats, but that is mainly cause the Saints rarely ever pass over 10 yards anymore. He's been a checkdown king for a while now. |
