Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Personally, I like T-Rex more because he can play the run honestly. Lanier is limited, one-gap upfield pass rusher, rare boom/more bust; he fails to reliably anchor as an edge defender...
We've already got players who can do that and more; press guys saw the practice feel like recent signings are only there to round out training camp (not training camp) roster, push the guys that are already here... Despite it taking more than nine years to reload the roster and settle on a defensive scheme, Payton should have no excuses with regards to player talent; it's been an all-in management style for three seasons now... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Every year should be an all-in venture or you are settling for potential mediocrity every season betting on the next and the next and the next. My philosophy ... and Casey Stengel's, anyway. But neither of us are GM's or NFL head coaches so anything we come up with is outside of our areas of expertise. |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
MT, ESanders, Tre and Deonte are my "locks".
I'd take my chances with Bennie Fowler and the rookie Callaway. Carr has done nothing in 2+ seasons and Jordan Humphrey did very little once promoted to the active roster in 2019. Time for new blood & hungry guys. |
