New Playoff Structure of CBA is passed

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; A win in my book. It makes the week 16-17 games more competitive, and it hurts the teams who win easy divisions and have a top 2 record simply because of schedule....

With you on this one. What the players make/want really doesn’t matter to me. They will still make millions and WE the fans (who actually pay the bills) get more football.
I would have rather seen full time refs and officiating reform but that will never happen.

I do not like all the out of market games they are proposing. Especially 8 games a year. That hurts the fans.

I figured that’s what you meant. Thankfully our members here can think for themselves and practice deductive reasoning. Can’t say the same for that other board.
No need to apologize.

The added 7th team is going to take place whether the CBA passes or not. The owner's group doesn't have to have the approval of the PA to change the playoff structure. Besides, the players are in favor of an additional team.

What eight out of market games? If you are referring to the 17th game being added to the schedule it is actually going to HELP the fans. As it stands today, the are at least four games that are being played internationally. That's at least four "home" games being played away. Under the proposed 17 game schedule, every team while have EIGHT home games, EIGHT away games and ONE game at a neutral site. That one game may or may not be out of the country.
