Bengals sign Vonn Bell

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; "Reportedly" I don't believe for one second Bell turned down $23 million. If he did, he needs to fire his agent immediately....

I think he did fire his agent then signed on with the agent who demanded too much money. Talk about watching a plan back fire....

Well, it's all about how the offer was structured - maybe he wanted more guaranteed money then the Saints were willing to offer?!

The overall value or the $/year values that are thrown around rarely mean a whole lot since most contracts aren't being played out, but are cut short for one reason or another.

Yup. It is the guaranteed amount that means everything. The rest is fluff for the fans and their egos.
