I may not know as much about football X's & O's as my fellow members and friends, but I do know that you win in the trenches baby! And I'm always excited when we pick an O-line or D-line in the first round unlike most folks. Most people don't think it's sexy to draft the big uglies in the first round but I do. You win in the trenches and winning is sexy!

The Saints have proven that you can get good skill position players after the first round. A couple of examples are Kamara and Thomas. Most teams are built with early to mid round talent but we know how to find early talent later in the draft. We've always fielded one or two UDFA's that showed out in their role with the team.

Now that Drew Brees has pretty much solidified his future in the broadcast booth we need to go all out for one last ride. Trade up for Justin Jefferson. In a draft like this full of uncertainty and an off-season without OTA’s or mini-camps, give Brees one more weapon who’s already familiar with our offense.

Trading up for a WR in this draft would be stupid.
If you wanna go all out go get Everson Griffin and make sure there a pass rush outside of Cam Jordan
K Major and shawnkytonk like this.

Definitely like trading back for more options, darts on the board...

Queen is a safer pick in the second round...

What service did you use?

Pass Rush has to be the priority in this draft - and not some stupid f*cking two first round picks to move up ten spots in the first round 'cause Shylene is waiting at home...

And if they weren't do social distancing, coaches and personnel staff should have to p*ss in cups same as players so they're not high when making moves...

Don't think it's overly realistic though

Queen
Jefferson
Murray

If they’re gone, move back. I don’t want the boy from Iowa. He’s slow.

I’d be ok with AJ Epenesa, but I would also be concerned with his lack of bend and agility. He seems way better suited for playing 5-technique with occasional reps at 3-tech. I’d trust the coaches vision for him though if we took him.

A.J. Epenesa? His scouting reports sound just like those of Cam Jordan.

Trust the tape, not the underwear fashion show...

From NFL Scouting Service...

The size and production should force all evaluators to dial their focus in on what he's best at rather than any perceived areas of concern. He has average instincts against the run and is a step slow to shed, but he's strong at the point and he does his job. (He) won't just out-run tackles to the edge, but he's a skilled rusher whose diversity of attack, skilled hands and unique bull-rushing instincts could help him deliver his college sack production in the pros. He can play end in a 4-3 or 3-4 and could leap from good to great with additional work on technique and explosiveness.

DE Cam Jordan, Cal; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 287 lbs.;

40 - 4.78 sec; Vertical - 31"; Broad Jump - 117"

DE A. J. Epenesa, Iowa; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 275 lbs.

40 - 5.04 sec; Vertical - 32.5"; Broad Jump - 117"

I'm not worried about the 40 - that's long speed and I don't want him chasing people down from behind; burst with power - that's in the Vertical and Broad Jump - that's what matters...

And then of course, there's the production...

(From NFL.com

Epenesa was a three-time high school All-American and first-team All-State pick in football (wearing jersey No. 99 to emulate J.J. Watt), scored over 1,000 career points in basketball and won back-to-back state discus throw titles. Hawkeyes coaches put their highly regarded recruit in the rotation as a true freshman, and he recorded 15 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 13 games. Epenesa did not start any games in his sophomore season, either, behind veterans Parker Hesse and Anthony Nelson. He still garnered second-team All-Big Ten honors, though, by leading the Big Ten with 10.5 sacks and topping Iowa's defense with 16.5 tackles for loss (among 37 total) and four forced fumbles. As a junior, Epenesa came on strong at the end of the year, receiving second-team Associated Press All-American and first-team all-conference accolades with 49 tackles, 14.5 for loss, and 11.5 sacks along with four forced fumbles in 13 starts.

And the film (see highlights)...

This shows him as a Freshman, Sophmore, more

This is his 2019 Season along...

I'd also add that he has the versatility to kick inside to the 3T, as there's some film of this against offensive linemen to be in the NFL...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
