Re: Saints trade with Vikings, draft Dayton TE Adam Trautman with No. 105 pick
Good deal.....I don't have to watch the draft anymore!

Re: Saints trade with Vikings, draft Dayton TE Adam Trautman with No. 105 pick
There are more than a few scouts believe that Adam was the 2nd best TE coming out of this draft class. The Saints were able to get him in the 3rd.
Forget the school he attended and trust the tape. It's not his fault he was bigger, stronger and more talented than everyone else in his league. Sean P has a vision for this kid in this offense. Potential dawg for years to come in New Orleans. |

The kid graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. An EI from UD ain't too shabby. I think he has it between the ears to pick up the offense quick. So, there is a decent chance he could contribute this year.

I hate that we traded all of our draft picks, but it was too big of a steal to pass up imo. I really hate that in a draft so WR deep, that we didn't get one though.

A friend of mine in Dayton reached out today to assure me this kid is the real deal and says we're going to be very happy. So there that...

Re: Saints trade with Vikings, draft Dayton TE Adam Trautman with No. 105 pick
I keep re reading Adam's 3 cone drill (used to gauge quickness, agility & fluidity of movement) from the combine.
An official 6.78 … keep in mind he's a big guy @ 6'5 255. For comparison: Travis Kelce - 7.12 at his Pro Day (right around the same weight as Adam) George Kittle - 6.67 at his Pro Day Jimmy Dickens - 6.90 at the combine In my mind, this 3 cone drilled time is far more important (the ability to separate) that his straight line 40 time. His Senior Bowl practices were impressive too. Again, he was able to separate from the defender. I bet Sean Payton was rubbing his hands together like Birdman in hopes that he would draft that kid. |
