CAMP CONFIDENTIAL
Wednesday, August 17, 2005 Temperature at 3 p.m.: 90 degrees Heat index: 99 degrees Attendance: 368 IN THE SPOTLIGHT Right tackle: First-round draft choice Jammal Brown has been everything the Saints hoped. The team has given him a heavy workload, and he has responded. They want to make sure he's ready for the opener against the Carolina Panthers and defensive end Julius Peppers. Brown should be adequate by then and something special by the end of the season. Ikechuku Ndukwe and newly signed Brandon Phillips are just hoping to make enough of an impression to merit practice-squad consideration. The team may still add a veteran backup. No. | Player | Ht. | Wt. | Exp. 70 | Jammal Brown | 6-6 | 313 | R 68 | Ikechuku Ndukwe | 6-3 | 330 | R 76 | Brandon Phillips | 6-8 | 310 | R GET TO KNOW: Cabel Rohloff Position: Linebacker Height, weight: 6-4, 250 Experience: Rookie Age: 24 College: Northern Colorado Hometown: Bailey, Colo. Did you know: Rohloff tried out during the Saints' rookie camp in 2004. He wasn't invited to training camp, but the team signed him after the season and allocated him to NFL Europe in January. He played with the Rhein Fire. . . . Spent last season as a student-assistant coach at Northern Colorado. . . . In high school, was a first-team all-state linebacker by one publication and a first-team all-state running back by another. Ran for 1,845 yards and 25 touchdowns as a high school senior. Rohloff says: "It's a short-lived experience for some. I'm just going to enjoy it and try to make the most of it." -- Rohloff's reaction to the slew of injuries the Saints linebackers have suffered during camp. WHO'S HOT: COLBY BOCKWOLDT Bockwoldt has picked up where he left off last season, when he started the last seven games on the weak side. Bockwoldt has been a confident and consistent playmaker, highlighted by his sack in the preseason opener. WHO'S NOT: ADRIAN McPHERSON The fifth-round draft choice had an especially rough practice Tuesday. He drew some ire from the coaches and had to go back into the huddle once after making an incorrect play call. He also was intercepted by cornerback Matthew Clark. PLAY OF THE DAY: Aaron Brooks and Joe Horn hooked up on a perfectly executed touchdown pass during seven-on-seven drills. Brooks threw the ball with zip, leading Horn just enough for the receiver to beat safety Josh Bullocks by a step and snag it. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I didn't play worth a crap the last game. So personally, I'm looking forward to (Thursday's game at New England) because it gives me an opportunity to get out there and get on the field again after the sorely disappointing game I had." -- tailback Deuce McAllister INJURY REPORT Pos. | Player | Injury WR | Az-Zahir Hakim | hamstring TE | Boo Williams | hamstring TE | Shad Meier | knee OL | Spencer Folau | shoulder OT | Jon Stinchcomb | knee LB | James Allen | knee LB | Cie Grant | knee TODAY'S SCHEDULE Light walkthrough; travel to New England http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index...1994276050.xml |

RE: CAMP CONFIDENTIAL August 17, 2005
Shouldn't this be camp confidential for 8/16? I mean, I understand it is printed today, but it's about yesterday. I mean, doesn't it seem like they're reporting on today?
