It's an interesting issue. They've got huge contracts tied up with Jordan, Thomas and Brees. And I'm sure AK is gonna want a 55 to 60 million dollar contract.

Do you guys think one will get done or will Kamara be playing somewhere else next year? Or under the franchise tag?

I saw Loomis' interview when asked about the Kamara contract talks and he really hesitated like there was something going on, but he paused and said that he does not discuss those matters so ... and the questioner said, "No answer?" And he answered, with a smile, "No answer."

Your observations sound like there is hope. I sure hope that he can stay healthy for his next contract. If Payton keeps using him as a bell cow then I don't think he'll be able to finish his 2nd contract.

Kamara said months ago that there had been talks. I really expect a deal after there is a better idea about next year's cap figure. It will be a minimum of $175M plus any unused cap from this season. For example, the Patriots jut got back $35M in cap for the players that opted out. The deadline to opt out is 4:00 PM Eastern tomorrow so we'll know more.
