I hope that we can go training camp to actually watch these battles.

Never mind that the players will be lined up shoulder to shoulder, breathing in each others faces and very likely swapping bodily fluids but "No Fans" at practice will keep them safe. After all the League Mandated it!
Better yet put them all in those inflatable sumo wrestler suits. Social distancing maintained! Talk about Entertainment!! "The Oompa Loompa Football League" anyone? |

Did you actually believe it had anything to do with protecting the players? Wow. |

Not joking. It is all about fan safety. The players are in a virtual bubble and safer than any of us. They get tested daily with immediate results. We are more likely to get infected going to get gas than they are practicing and playing the games. If there was an outbreak among fans from a game that is more likely to throw a wrench into things than an occasional player testing positive.

What he cares about is the backlash that would come about with mass outbreaks caused by fans in attendance. The league is still going to generate over $8 BILLION in revenue if no fans at all attend games the entire season. The players and staffs are safer than any of us could ever be. He's not that concerned with their safety.
