Know Drew had that terrible interception in the red zone vs the Vikes, but I put that one on Payton...

Really, Really believe Brees was as surprised as anyone he was going back in when Taysom and Latavius were absolutely trucking that Vikes D when, Payton gets in the Double Reverse Mode...

And Brees was sent back in, there was confusion with the play call, as well as personnel goming in and, voila, interception...

Payton. Sean Payton should have stayed with the power game that was working and destroyed the Vikes' will at that point of the game...

Payton. Choking starts at the top, and Payton has got to place himself on the hotseat, get real fear back, then the Saints will be better than 2009-10...

Payton. Payton has got too much job security, tenure, and that's why we've bungled and failed despite having the greatest passer of all time...

True... He bungled the last three opportunities to make the big dance.

Offensive line didn’t help but you guys have a solid point. Stick with the hot hand.

Or too much power perhaps?

Sean P doesn't answer to anyone really ... I mean no one will really questions (except the Butcher at Whole Foods ) his decisions. Not even his assistant coaches.

There is no way Brees, a soon to be first ballot Hall of Famer should exit left with only 1 Lombardi on his mantle. As Saints fans, do we want to win 11, 12 regular season games again this year or compete for titles in late January?

It has become apparent that we aren't closers.

31 teams EVERY year aren't closers. It take a great deal of luck to win it all. We have competed for a championship each of the past three seasons and should have another chance this year. Where's that coach that will guarantee us the championship? Belechick hasn't won it every time even when handed to them on a platter.

I'd like to have seen what Belichick would've done with Brees; know Payton doesn't win a Superbowl with Brady, despite my respect for Brady after beating the ATL in the Tournament...

Belichick has always had great personnel people around him, asked tough questions, trusted their guidance; we've only had Ireland four years, but is Payton listening?

We can't get Belechick. Name the coach that you feel would be an immediate upgrade to Payton and give us continued future success including guaranteed Lombardi's. If you can I'll jump onboard right away.

It's more about what KMajor is alluding, he's got too much sway in personnel decisions and he doesn't have the best GM (Loomis), nor VP Free Agent Talent (Fontenot) - these are the areas we've failed miserably...

That going all in mode, especially in the draft, has not worked in four years...

You know what saw the best improvement, when Ireland first arrived and we trusted the draft process and we made moves for add'l draft picks, not traded them away willy-nilly on players that aren't durable...

And well-run corporation has power distributed amongst competent people and right not, that front office needs some work and redistributing of authority, and Kmajor called it...

How do you know Payton doesn't win a Super Bowl with Brady? The Patriots have been given a free ride to the Bowl for the past two decades. With that weak assed division they were guaranteed a first or second seed every year.
