Does not fix the issue, the infusions help calm inflammation/pain from impingement cause by stenosis. The stenosis is result of severe back injury age and deterioration which impinges on the Sciatic nerve branches.

Current Fix would be complicated structural back surgery, hoping for progress along the line mentioned by rezburna.🙏

Infusions work but just don’t last.:bng::bng: Since 1967.

Agreed, they aren’t uncommon in many different industries. And no, the procedure isn’t related to being traded, but injuries behind them are extremely common to being traded. There wouldn’t be a procedure if there wasn’t a reason for that procedure.

That’s what this forum is, a place to discuss football topics related to the New Orleans Saints. It’s not some peer reviewed digital journal on ProQuest, Ebsco, MedLine or LexisNexis. It’s just fans chatting, nothing more, nothing less. And icymi, this every posting here is that “game in class” you referred to. Even the link-backs are nothing more than op-Ed fodder. These postings, mine and yours aren’t capstone projects.

That reason isn't required to be chronic in nature, either. Yes, in many cases it is administered due to chronic conditions, but "one off" applications are used to treat minor disc herniation, for example, which is usually temporary. It appears that is the most common condition for which athletes receive the ESI, at least according to Mr. Google.

No doubt! My observation was anecdotal. The internet allows many times more ears to be whispered into, more quickly. The issue is that not every individual realizes this phenomenon and some take the rendition they see to their graves as fact. The affect of that misinformation is wide ranging. Most often is has little to no significant affect, I would imagine. Others turn into "Bountygates".

ESI’s, RFA’s, SI Joint injections, TFI’s, all common. It’s easy as **** to tweak the back.

Probably because it's a stupid wager and highly improbable they have the balls to trade their best player like most teams other than the Pats unless that player is running their mouth and acting crazy like AB.

My late stepson got hooked on pharmaceuticals for a work related back injury 15 plus years ago. There is more in place now to prevent abuses. Sad and tough thing is he had to take the very same meds he got hooked on when he got cancer at a way too young of an age.

AG, Gotcha. I understand your point now. For some reason I read your post in a manner that felt almost in a condescending manner, that only a few are allowed to have “true” or “dogmatic” opinions. Thanks for expounding on your post so I could understand it in context.

As far as chronic or acute injuries, I don’t differentiate between the two. Kamara didn’t wake up that morning and say: “hmmm, let’s see what sticking a needle inside my spine will feel like”. Outside of that, ie.. the nature or severity, I have zero clue. I just know if he did have a procedure it wasn’t because he was bored with life.

You, everyone, have my apology for posting in frustration. It’s why I prefer to read and not post. If a thought crosses my neural network, it generally pops out in an audible manner almost immediately. Too many years in combat boots.

No problem. It's definitely not the first time a response that I have made was taken in the wrong context. I have a bad habit of responding to posts and using it as a jumping off point for something unrelated. It is easy for it to be taken out of context when it is posted out of context. LOL!
