Payton has been getting outcoached in the playoffs since 2010.

The team doesnt have the ability to make that crucial stop or crucial conversion, we always leave the game open for the other team to make the plays, and they always do.

Which is a shame because during the regular season we often look unstoppable at times, then regardless of if we are at home or not, the team looks scared and intimidated in the playoffs. Especially the offense, they just let the opposing defense dictate the game, until late in the 4th quarter where they give us a glimmer of hope and then fall short.

And the same question to you. Who is better right now for the Saints? What do you want instead? Who would you have rather had over the past decade?
Give the answer.

Waiting. I have asked this exact question dozens of times on this forum and have never got a real answer.

No need to wait, here's my answer. Getting a different coach wouldn't help, Payton just needs to do better.

Right, it seems like he’s lost the edge. Like it worked in 09 it’ll work now

Works good enough to win more games than anyone else over the past three years. Is that losing the edge?

Sure, while compiling a 2-3 playoff record. Which, imho, is the only record that matters.

How many snaps did he take under center? How many snaps did he take covering downfield? How many ....

I hope you get the idea. The NFL post season is based upon so much luck, or lack of, that is how Vegas always makes its money. The best team doesn't always win.

But, I will you you with every bit of my passion as a Saints fan since I was nine years old in 1967 that a 2-3 playoff record is great if that is what it is. I cannot see the waste of energy to think otherwise.

What could he do better? Simple question that dizzle has only attempted to answer.

When the playoffs start coaches and players shift gears, while it seems the saints don’t. We didn’t hold a rusher for over 100 yards all year and Cook still injured runs all over us. It’s like they slept on Minny the coaches and players but it’s the coaches job to keep them from underestimating an opponent and throw caution to the wind in the playoffs cause the next week isn’t given to you

But how to do better? He's human. He has done the best job of any coach in Saints history to make us relevant. Give him credit for that. But, how much is truly on him. There are a dozen other coaches, 53 players, all those officials, and the damned shape of the ball that come into play.

What is it exactly he needs to do better? I have to give it to you, diz. You are the first one out of the many others that has even attempted to answer that question.

Much respect!
