This issue is what we see in the playoffs.
Sean abandons the run, defense can't get off the field.
Our normally good players disappear or begin to hurt us, Brees and Cam Jordan as examples

Or when he threw the pick against St. Louis in overtime. When it matters most his deficiencies have shined.
