I'd take more chances (throwing the post corner route) against the Lions though.

CSP must get more players involved offensively. AK can't do it all by himself.

Drew hasn’t been the same since he threw that interception last year in the playoffs after the big play by Taysom. He doesn’t have confidence in his arm.

Those who have watched the team play can attest to the routes down the field that have been open that he refuses to pull the trigger on. Teams are allowing deep routes with no help...one on ones and our WRs have won a lot of match ups.

Drew hasn’t been the same since 2017, imho. Anything past ten yards is painful to watch, it really is. Indecisiveness and hesitancy, and until he disproves what I’m seeing with his play, it’s my belief he should be replaced with whom the coaches think gives the team the greater chance of winning.

It’s a good article and how I’ve felt since 2017. Without CGM, it’s just become way more obvious.

GoSaints1 -

What's your game plan on Sunday vs Lions ?

IMO we have to do a better job of stretching the field however Brees can no longer make those deep passes to keep defenses honest.

I find it hard to believe that Harris and Sanders weren't creating any separation to get open vs the Packers. Checking down to AK isn't gonna work effectively anymore.

Did you notice that Taysom had an open receiver (I believe it was Sanders), yet he tucked and run the ball instead ? I'd try and utilize his ability as a WR in space.

CSP will have to get very creative offensively to make things work.

One problem with this thought, Drew didn't throw an interception after the Taysom big play. He fumbled trying to escape pressure coming from the interior
breakdown on the OL.

Taysom's fumble was probably the most critical piece of that entire game. Saints had made a terrific stop on 4th at mid field and give the ball right back to them around the same spot.

To me, that was the back breaker and ball game.

I was hoping we could have gone up by 7, forcing A Rod to take more risks late.

The refs were going to keep them in the game no matter what. Rodgers would have just chunked it downfield for a spot of foul penalty whenever they had the ball. Or there would be another Phantom horse collar or some ticky tack penalty on the Saints.

Yeah agreed. I had a feeling that despite anything we did, Rodgers would just coast downfield, with or without the refs help.
