Chicken Wings & Boiled Lobster!
Instead of practicing on Tuesday the Saints went in and had chicken wings and boiled lobster!
I wonder what the Patriots were doing. I bet they were practicing, oh wait, that's why they are Superbowl champs and we can't even get into the playoffs. Why can't the players eat chicken wings and lobster during the offseason? Is it too much to ask that they put a month of work in to get ready for the season? Who wants to bet me that Sullivan snuck some Popeye's biscuits into that meal? Am I the only one upset about this? |

RE: Chicken Wings & Boiled Lobster!
Let me rephrase: Am I the only person with an IQ above 10 that is upset about this?

Yes.
Well, I'm upset about it - but I'm just upset b/c someone was stupid enough to serve Lobster with wings. That's like serve $1000 caviar with Hormel Chili. Freakin' idiots. |

I wonder if they served wine or kool-aid with the meals. |

I don't have a problem with this. There's nothing wrong with taking a day off every now and then and getting to know each other better off the field or outside the saints facility.

Sometimes we(myself included) are bit too quick to jump on everything Haz does.
I actually think that some of our more cancerous locker rooms would not have done this. Not trying to be positive, but there does seem to be a nice sense of comaradarie going into the year. I know that can be hype, but the sense of team is not really always hyped in these circles. Gambler....let me try to make you feel a bit better. Henry Jones(ridiculous safety from the Bills superbowl teams) was asked what that team's keys to success were on the radio today. Ironically(considering your post), he said that they took days off and had alot of little get togethers. Said that Marv tried to go easy on their bodies from time to time. I think stuff like this is good as long as the situation is right. If the Panthers pound us on the 11th and we go out for ice cream and a friendly game of grab ass on the 13th.....then that's a problem. It could just be a way of Haz (gulp) building a team environment. Also, considering the efforts this team has put forth after their "best" weeks of practice in the past....maybe chicken wings and lobster is just what the doctor ordered |
