At this level, it's kind of difficult to accumulate sacks when you get held, choked, hooked around the neck, hands to the face 40 times a game. Not one flag from the zebras.

It is what it is though.

Sacks tend to come in bunches.

If I remember correctly, Jordan was dealing with a core injury like an abductor tear. Something that takes a long time from which to recover.

More holding by offensive linemen allowed wouldn’t surprise me to be a contributing factor. I’d be curious to know if sacks, comparative to last year, are down across the league also.

Just heard that on ESPN that’s why scoring been high, Tom Brady is getting an out with that trash online that Winston ran for his life, holding on every single 3rd down not being called and it’s not tricky tacky holding either

But to answer your question, the article basically stated that the stars on defense haven't performed, especially in the secondary and QBs aren't being forced to hold the ball as long. Getting Davenport and Onyemata back will help create more one on ones across the line.

I'm sure it is up to the front office and the medical side on when Davenport returns. That's where the vetoes almost always occur.
