I like it too.

Jim Henderson pointed that out, complimented him on the radio. Haslett has made a lot of decisions I didn't agree with - but I do like his fire on the sidelines.

I'm pretty disgusted with the run defense, and pretty disgusted with another red-zone failure. I'll hold off onto full-blown *****ing though until I see the rebroadcast later tonight.

I've been hearing Jonathan Sullivan and Colby Bockwoldt all night. Kudo's to these guys.

...see? that is what I HATE about Haslett... sure he shows "lots of fire" with the referees, cursing them, threatening them, whatever... but what good exactly does that do??? The call is not going to be reversed just because Jimbo throws a tantrum, plus that ref or that ump or that lineman is not going to be too sympathetic next time he sees a close call... antagonizing the guys with the flags is just plain stupid...

... now, I would love to see that "fire" directed at the players... maybe if good ol' Jimbo would be as "fiery" with the players when they screw up, maybe the Saints would be a better team...

Tobias....In haz's defense (kinda), he did chew the D a new one after the second ridiculous run.

But, I'm with you on the core of your point. He is very fiery and certainly has a desire to win. But, it's almost like the team takes on his manic up and down personality. Look at the 2 best teams in the league. Reed and Belichick are both in control from buzzer to buzzer. Their teams' play reflects the personality of the coach. We are much the same....in a bad way. We can go to sleep or wake up in one play. I had hope after last year because they were really putting together good 60 minute efforts. Maybe not.....

I've always liked Haz for the simple fact that he usually has the same reaction to the team that I do. But....I'm always drinking on Sunday. The up and down freakout of a Saints fan does not suit a head coach. Plus...he's gotten to the point where he's like a bad parent wondering why the kids keep screwing up. His heart is in the right place, but there is something missing with this team.

I know this was preseason...but it was vintage Haz Saints football. Stinky.

Sweep around the right side 1st and goal from the 7? Fantastic play call against the fastest D in the league. They swarmed him. We suck. Our coaches suck and I'm just not sure I'm ready to watch this undisciplined crap for another season.
Wow, and people wonder why I question AB about his red zone tendencies. Our ru ndefense was flat terrible. Sullivan seems to have switched on alight though. At this point, I will take anything that will help this team.
