Run the ball. Make Hicks and Mack play the run. Lessen the chances of either getting a shot on Brees. Give T. Hill some series not just a couple snaps. Lessen the snaps/time the defense is on the field. The Bears offense is putrid. I'm good with a 17-6 win.

I think the Saints can figure out how to handle the Bears defense. Just hope Nick Foles doesn't blow up our stinky secondary...

Foles is just what our defense ordered. He's thrown at least one pick in all five games he's played this season and was sacked four times last week.

Agreed, that OL has been decimated with injuries and the entire offense has suffered bc of it. I’m with you here, Saints defense is set up for success this upcoming game. It should be sack city, and a few int’s - Regardless of schemes. Chicago is a horribly bad offensive team. Unfortunately, they have a very good, top notch, defense.

I’m looking forward to this game, a lot!

What happens if they stack the box on us every play? Two yards and a cloud of dust will result in quick three and outs placing our defense out there with little rest.

Run to set up the pass? I've read about that somewhere.

Or do what Payton has always done, pass to set up the run. But, to be honest, the short pass is essentially a run anyway. A sizable percentage of the Saints passes are behind the line and are basically forward "lateral" running play.

All that said, if we run the ball 70 times and win I'll be happy. If we pass the ball 70 times and win I'll be just as happy ... or any split in between as long as we win.
