Re: Saints Defense (what did I just watch)
If he wants to stay he can. Contracts can be structured to give him s fair market price ... especially this next season. Because off the lack of ticket revenue this season the players know new contracts will be down next year across the entire league.

With the addition of Alexander we should have a fast defense

When your D line can bring consistent pressure like that, it makes things a little easier on the back end.
Brady was hit, hurried, harassed and humiliated all game. |

Re: Saints Defense (what did I just watch)
The offense did what they were supposed to do. They went down and scored following three and outs. That put pressure on the Bucs offensively to try EVs find a spark. Our offense finally took the pressure off the defense and the defense flourished. I saw a lot of 2-man under as well as the usual Cover 1. Jenkins looked great last night, partly because Gronk can’t outrun him, but also coming up to make tackles and backs out of the backfield. Hopefully they keep it going.

Re: Saints Defense (what did I just watch)
As of right now Davenport is the engine that runs the Dline. We’ve been saying for the last few years, if he stays healthy, look out. Marcus pushes whom ever is blocking him in the QB’s lap. This allows for Trey and guys like big O to feast. Cam does the same thing from the other side, but when their names don’t show up in the stat lines it’s interpreted as not contributing. The guys on our edge are ballin.

Last night the secondary did not make those mistakes. Limit the mistakes and this is what can happen. SFIAH |

Re: Saints Defense (what did I just watch)
Our secondary usually steps up for Tampa, especially Lattimore. I saw Brady reading his play card after the second interception tell himself “I don’t know what they are doing” referring to our defense.

One of the announcers mentioned our D said they were working on disguising coverages all week.
