Re: USA Today Saints Wire | Sean Payton not ready to name a starting quarterback after Drew Brees injury
Why let Atlanta gameplan for one specific QB. That would be foolish.

The only change is what percentage mix of the three types will we see? SFIAH |

The bigger question is the second opinion on Drew and whether or not he goes on IR, which could affect the decision on how many QB's the Saints will have active (2 or 3), which will in turn have a major impact on Taysom's role. I don't blame Sean for not answering yet.

This is a good point. I can’t remember how we used Hill last year when Teddy took over. No matter the situation now, we can’t have Hill playing his normal role.

Well according to NFL.com they are saying Drew could be ok in 2 weeks!!!
I find that hard to believe with the injuries he is carrying at the moment! Could that really be the case? |

There are differing degrees of rib fractures and lung collapses. A severe collapse would require hospitalization. A minor/partial collapse can heal completely in less than two weeks. The same with the ribs. Brees came into this past game with three broken ribs. |

Re: Taysom or Jameis?
I need Jameis to show me something. He kept looking at his receivers and almost had 2 int's. I felt much more comfortable with Bridgewater. That said I'm willing to give Jameis a shot.
Same for Taysom Hill. They may play both. For Taysom to be effective, even in Wildcat situations, he must throw the ball. Teams have been just lining up for run blitz when he gets in the huddle. He's the worst secret in the NFL. When he does throw people are wide open. |
