If we don't get Brees back. Yes.

Taysom’s showing no pocket awareness.

Hill looks bad... No doubt, but the o line looks worse, d line also awful

Coronating or Ejecting Taysom is all premature...

Every QB that follows Brees is gonna be seriously flawed in fans' eyes...

And the reality is gonna be painful for many Saints fans that Brees is at the end of his career...

-6 points from Lutz

Facts right here folks. Nothing but dogmatic truth.

Your reason has no place in their passion. We are what we are my friend.

Just an all around pathetic game. Offense, defense, special teams and coaching. Going to have to regroup next week but this loss pretty much guarantees we’ll be playing wild card weekend.

blackangold 12-13-2020 06:25 PM

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Drew would have won this game by himself... But not many QBs could do much with this o line.

Anyone putting this on Hill alone is just hating, if anything it's on Payton for eating his own cheese

Great play to take the ball away by Cook!

Those two missed FGAs by Lutz are huge right now...

Robertson should have pulled that down.

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Why was Morstead even in on that onside kick?!?

Robertson and Morstead had a chance at the ball and missed their chance...

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Zero confidence Hill can rally from a deficit with the game on the line. Having said that, this one makes one wonder wtf defense? I’d say this one needs to be heavily laid on the coaching staff. Although it’s his first start, it’s not we did it know what to expect. Defense sharted themselves

Lots of missed opportunities today.

How the hell did the saints get the ball back after missing the last FG? I left and came back to see them scoring a TD.

Lutz regressing OL regressing DL regressing

Saints getting in playoff mode

The fact is that Hill is a far less than Brees is currently. That is painful for some of you to accept. Unless we get Brees back our season is over. That is a fact. It already looks like we have lost the bye. We may not even win the division without Brees.

I had a phone call (an angry saints fan 😊) what happened though?

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Defense was atrocious the entire first half.

Hill didn't have a great game, but the Oline honestly was a shambles.

Peat on his ass as usual, Terron getting beat easily.

Restating the obvious is as productive as two monkeys f*cking a basketball...

Coming into today, Taysom had three career starts to Brees' two hundred eighty-three starts...

And as painful as it is for Saints fans, Brees is in decline because of age, a simple fact of life...

Brees is injured and the injury he has will take him more than three weeks at his current age...

That is reality and perspective...

Well, it's a fitting end to an absolute schitty week - one of the worst weeks I've had in 2020...

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

We’ll have to see how this team responds. They just got it handed to them by a 3 win team and cost themselves a first round bye but the season is far from over. Eagles dominated all phases of the game today. Offense, defense, special teams and coaching all to blame.

jeanpierre 12-13-2020 06:41 PM

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Just watched the onside kick again...

Have loved Robertson since we brought him on, but gotta wonder why we still have him around when he couldn't come up with that ball...

In no way am I hanging this loss just on Robertson (e.g. missed FGAs, poor front seven defense play, Taysom's fumble-itis, lazy offensive line effort), but when you're paid for ST play, make the damn play...

Hurts fumbled on a QB keeper.

There is no reason if Brees is not available next week not to start Winston ...

dizzle88 12-13-2020 06:46 PM

Re: Saints @ Eagles Game Day Thread

Eagles - 36 rushes for 236 yards and 2 TD's - this is where the game was lost.

Our D can normally force teams to be one dimensional, but they got manhandled up front and Hurts had multiple runs right up the gut for 15-20 yards.

As soon as they could run, it took all the pressure off Hurts.

That 4th down playcall for Taysom though, thats one of the worst calls I've ever seen Payton make.

What is to blame is not having a QB that cannot control the ball. It keeps the defense on the field far too much. Our offense crippled our defense putting them into horrible situations all day.
