this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I believe the Saints are capable of beating KC Sunday, but they will have to play a near perfect game to do it. If the Saints do win with a banged-up Brees and without MT, that would definitely ratch up ...

If the Saints beat KC.....

If the Saints do win with a banged-up Brees and without MT, that would definitely ratch up the pressure on GB; they won't be able to rest any starters. |

But, yes, that would turn the heat up on the Packers. |

We didn't have trainers so if it wasn't poking through the skin we felt like we couldn't let my team down. So, you can play without being fully healed. It's painful but it can be done. |

Re: If the Saints beat KC.....
It was about three weeks before I played and they bothered me the rest of the season. Believe it or not rugby players get hit in the ribs all the time.
Drew says he's not in pain and it won't hamper his ability to play. Hopefully his throwing mechanics are unaffected. |

Payton said Brees would only play if pain free and having a full range of motion.

Re: If the Saints beat KC.....
You are kidding yourself if you don't believe that Brees is banged up with 11 fractured ribs and a punctured lung.
The ONLY reason that Brees is playing Sunday is because the Saints lost the Philly game, if the Saints had the one game lead on GB, Brees probably wouldn't see the field until the playoffs! |

I fractured 4 ribs wrestling in my 20s and it took me 6 weeks to be 100%. I’m no Drew Brees, but he isn’t a 20 year old either. All that said, he gives us a 10x better chance than any other QB we have. |
