Looking more like we won't be facing Aaron Rodgers in week one.

Wanted Saints to face him and put a beat-down on him...

Lol.

Not me. ARod is still elite at QB and we have ? marks at CB #2.

Hopefully he’s traded to a AFC team.

Right there with you. I've never bought into that "wanting to beat them at their best". Give me an opponent with no QB like the Broncos last year. Now that was a fun stress free game. :D

But who is the Packers WR2? They've got WR Devante Adams (Lattimore/Suspension?) and TE Robert Tonyan (Davis/Alexander?)...

That's one of the reported reasons why Rodgers is dissatisfied in GB...

Not to mention they let go of his boy, Kumerow. All Rodgers really wants is for GM Brian Gutekunst to fire himself. It is not about the money or players anymore. He will not co-exist with Gutekunst. The money, and or players can come with a new GM. That's what I got from Rob Demovsky, the Packers beat writer for ESPN. He said that there was "less than a 5% chance that its's Rodgers" when asked who will be the day one starter against the Saints.

With out Onyemata it would be a tough task. Also, we still don't know who will be our CB's? I hope Rodgers plays poorly with a new team. He's too full of himself unlike Drew for my taste. It's satisfying to watch a big ego flame out.

Again, not at all scared to let Adebo play and learn as a rookie; we have the same CBs we had last year with a swap of Adebo for Jenkins...

Jenkins was solid, but Adebo does have a high ceiling...

I always sat right in front of the QB's and O-line because that is where the offensive production starts and to me that is the biggest draw for football to me. Playing in the trenches is similar to playing in the scrum(#'s 1-8) and playing scrum half(#9) which is where the QB came from throwing the ball from the lines to the running backs/skill positions as the game developed. That is where my interest lays since I also played the scrum half(QB) position for a few years.

The defense is on the far side of the field so I don't observe them nearly as much even though we played both ways. Rugby players are on offense one moment and then defense the next. Defense is where most of the position battles will occur besides punter. I've just lost the drive to with no fan interaction or autographs for now but I'll get it back once we kick off our first preseason game. Don't take away my fanatical card though.

Well, I am hoping for a legit QB battle, so I'm excited for that as well as for the new additions on defense, especially if we sign Kwon Alexander...

Is this team a Superbowl contender? Well, it's not as automatic as it was when Drew Brees was under center, but it lends for the opportunity to be pleasantly surprised...

But there's a lot going on this year, so it shouldn't be a boring camp...

We can, simply by everyone getting the vaccine.

Last I saw mine was around 93%. What I do know is that there is not a single hospitalization of a vaccinated individual due to COVID related issues in the northern part of the state. While the vaccine is not 100%, it absolutely has protective qualities far beyond just preventing the infection. It positively limits the severity of the variants.

FYI, Tuesday marked the highest number of reported positive tests since the pandemic began in Louisiana and the state remains near the bottom in vaccinated qualifiers at around 35%.

We are in this strange situation where the folks who don't need to wear a mask (the vaccinated) are willing to do so, while many of those who really do need to wear a mask (the unvaccinated), balk at the prospect.

Before the mask mandate was dropped in the infection rate was below 2%. After it was lifted it's up to 6.5%.

As the old saying goes, it isn't paranoia if someone is actually out to get you.

It would reduce the infection rate down to miniscule numbers and the severity down to minimal degrees. That would eliminate the need for any masks as we would essentially be at herd immunity numbers.

Would some people still wear masks? Probably, but I couldn't imagine there being any public prompting.

I’m not going to get into this deeply with you Guido. I will simply say that I don’t think you or anyone else has all the facts and most of what we are told is BS at worst and misleading at best. If someone wants the vaccine and has it then good for them. If someone has gotten it, then they should be safe and shouldn’t give a damn if others around them have had it or not. I’m not a big fan of controlling and endangering people’s lives in the name of the public good.

So, then does that mean that people should be able to do what they want and if they get sick and die then that's on them?

I just don't understand where doing nothing is OK. It'll never make sense to me.

If you can’t see the difference between making people get a vaccine that we have no idea what the long term side effects of are and “people should be able to do what they want” then we will never see eye to eye.

That’s why I said I’m not going to get into this with you. You are narrow minded and incapable of honestly evaluating opinions that contradict your own. You said you don’t care about the politics of the NFL and the people that don’t like it. Well, I don’t care about you BS opinions about vaccines and mask mandates.

I have rarely, if ever, see you honestly attempt to see another person’s viewpoint and listen to what they are saying. You constantly look to bolster your position without regard to compromise or truth. I’m not going to waste my time explaining my position further. If you could somehow in your mind turn what I said to say I believe the vaccine threatens lives but covid doesn’t then you are a sorry son of a B.

Okay, my bad. But you are saying that you believe the COVID vaccines threatens lives, right? Can you explain why and how?

And, an honest innocent question here. It might explain your thought process. Have you ever had any of these existing vaccines? Influenza, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Hepatitis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Rabies, Smallpox, or Shingles?

It isn't if they were. The government didn't cause me to get vaccinated. My own understanding of the process made it totally imperative. If the government tried to forbid me from getting the best care I would have found another avenue to get it.

Vaccines are not mandatory. That doesn't mean they are not tremendously effective and safe. The government shouldn't MAKE you do anything you do not wish to do. But, you have the intellect and I hope the knowledge to make the decisions on your own. Many others are missing one or the other.

I hope you and yours stay safe. We lost yet another acquaintance two days ago that had refused the vaccine. It hits home when it is so avoidable.

I'm sorry that my inability to comprehend your choice upsets you.

The going door to door is OFFERING the opportunity to get vaccinated. There are many that feel they don't have the means to get vaccinated. And I did not say anything about barring people from going to sporting events unless vaccinated. I said that if the infection rates continue to rise they may prohibit fans again. I said your state's population is doing one of the better jobs in the nation (63.3%) to protect against this from happening.

I don't want it to be mandatory nor do I believe it will ever be. But, I want people to understand the risks involved with and more importantly without and make the informed decision.

This shouldn't be political. I am almost 64 years old and have voted in every election since I was able. I have voted Republican in every single pull or punch. I am fiscally conservative to a fault. I am a God fearing Christian.

And I have a brain and know what is best for me and my family. In this case it is a no-brainer.

What does that say that the White House are willing to go door-to-door to vaccinate people...

How f*cking stupid do you have to be (or this WH thinks we are) to let a total stranger come up to your domicile and inject you?
