this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Undrafted RB Tony Jones Jr could be promoted to the active roster on tomorrow as well. Not sure how good he is with pass protection though....

DJ Swearinger reportedly positive too.
Here comes the "No DB's allowed to play this week either" news. No CJGJ or Swearinger this week. |

Treat Winston as the number 2 and use Taysom in the running game. If Brees goes down we are screwed anyway. Neither backup will get us very far in the playoffs so we might as well use Taysom even if it’s an injury risk.

Second point - we won't face a playoff run defense near as bad as Minnesota's. I'm not worried about this weekend. I'm concerned this thing spreads beyond the RBs... |

Re: All Saints RB’s Out Sunday
NFL would be wise to push the playoffs by a few weeks... going to be a lot more cases coming up over the next few days. Players went out and partied and spent time with large families just like most normal people.
Under normal circumstances these players would play sick like the have in all other years... but I guess a 99.99% survival rate for their age group is too risky. If one or 2 more big name players get the cold the NFL may consider postponing the post season. |
