I’d sure rather have Winston throwing to me than Mariota.

I completely forgot Marcus signed with Atlanta.

2 former Heisman trophy winners & both selected #1 & 2 in the 2015 NFL draft.

I heard the 49er's want to pay him as a WR/RB, but he wants straight WR money which would be a considerable chunk more.

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

NFL.com reported that Deebo was unhappy with his role in the 49ers Offense.

If you think about it, playing at RB has a much higher probability that you have a shortened career. It's in my opinion the most physically demanding position.

Deebo is trying protecting his future here and wanting to play WR alone.

They referenced that NFL.com report on NFL Radio today when they said that he has said on several occasions that he "embraced the role" of WR/RB while even calling it "Wide Back".

San Francisco 49ers' Deebo Samuel created his own position: 'Wide back'

That's where I heard he had no issue playing the hybrid position, but had an issue with the lessor pay related to it once contracts talks began.
