    Pre Combine Draft Wish List

I heard Mel Kiper on the radio last night say that he thought Hightower would go in the second or third round.

Beat by Both; A Lions fan's perspective on Saints/Forty-Niners

The Reality TV edge is actually more one-sided in favor of the Saints, thanks to Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian on our resume!

I love the analogy of a Zima-swilling 49ers fan . In the midwest there were all sorts of bandwagon Niners fans back in the Walsh/Siefert days. Now, they're as hard to find as a ... Zima!

Some Interesting (to me) stats on NO, GB, and SF

Agreed Shakin'. Seventeen points is pretty good, and I've pointed out before, if they keep the other team from scoring more, then they've done their jobs.

Seems like it's possible the game may be a very low-scoring contest, though with the Saints' on either end, I could clearly be wrong.

I hope they can contain Gore. Like the guy at Seattle last year, he's a bulldozer.

I have no stats to back up my comment but the Saints D has REALLY stood up as of late. They are holding offenses to a minimum score as well as turning up the heat in the 2nd half. I know EVERYONE picks on the Saints D because they allow a lot of yardage but does that matter if they "step up" when it matters most? I believe our boys on D will actually become the heroes of the postseason!

So c'mon boys! Make me right!!

My thoughts exactly, Mark. Great comment.

Kudos to Bama. They came prepared and kicked butt. Kudos to Nick Saban who prepared his team. Bama's d-line was overwhelming LSU's o-line.
I noticed Bama was dug in the trenches ready to stop LSU's option attack.

So what does LSU and Les Miles do? The run the option and ONLY throw screens to the corners.

I wasn't at this game as I was lucky enough to attend the last 2 BCS Championships LSU won. I read that receivers were open down field most of the evening.

I believe if LSU moved to a straight up running game and pro style offense, Bama would have been caught off guard.

    Tebow Is Winning Me Over

Did anyone notice how many yards Tebow passed for last week? 316, as in 3:16, John 3:16. Coincidence? IDK, Tebow 3:16, Nostradamus predicts the world ends in 2012, the Mayan Calendar ends 12/21/2012, the Lions make the playoffs ... this very well could be the 'end times'.

    just sayin'.

    Tebow Is Winning Me Over

IMO, this is all becoming a big sociological experiment ... how much attention, adoration and defamation can one man (Tebow) possibly receive and still remain humble and unchanged? Sponsored by ESPN.

    Tebow Is Winning Me Over

What's not to like? Tebow is the ultimate winner with the game on the line. That's why you play. It doesn't matter if it's pretty or not.

    Pre Combine Draft Wish List

Everson Griffen had a first round rating and fell to the fouth. Charles Brown had a first round rating and fell to the bottom of the second. Cam Thomas was expected to go in the second and fell to the fifth.

Locker and Ponder went at the top of the first. Tyson Alualu went at the top of the first. TIM TEBOW WENT IN THE FIRST ROUND!

Injury and character issues push players down: Da'Quan Bowers and Mike Williams.

GMs try to outsmart the room and make questionable picks in the first round and continue to do so in every other round. Good players, for what ever reason, fall.

I'd be surprised if Hightower fell, but stranger things have happened. I'd be surprised if Crick was available in the fourth, but he did miss most of the year with injury...There is also the possibility that Hightower, Fleener, Crick and Wolfe are stupid and fall because of that.
