Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested early Saturday at a Houston nightclub on a charge of resisting arrest, a spokesperson at the Houston Police Department told NFL.com and NFL Network.

Peterson was arrested around 2:30 a.m. CDT. He spent the night in jail and was released on a $1,000 bond at 10:14 a.m.

Kese Smith, a spokesman for the HPD, told the Houston Chronicle that Peterson allegedly pushed an off-duty police officer who was working security at the club, Live! at Bayou Place.

Doesn't sound like a big deal ... guy with big ego & big wallet has too much to drink. At least he didn't hurt / kill anyone.

Doesn't mean Goodell won't MAKE a big deal of it, but Der Fuhrer doesn't seem to have a hard-on for the Viqueens. Peterson's teammate Jerome Simpson only got a 3 game suspension for a felonious amount of dope at his home!
