The only back that might've made a difference in Deuce. I find myself longing for the days he would trot on for the 3 and short/goal runs.....

It wouldn't have mattered if it was Jim Brown running behind Ironhead back there. There were no holes to run trough whatsoever.

Running back was hardly the problem in our lack of a run game.

But in the past when our run blocking has been suspect our pass blocking was great. Now we seem to be having some issues with both. Drew seems to be taking more hits and he is developing happy feet.

Drew is the dink dunk KING. Somehow Payton has gotten away from it. 4th quarter drive for the field goal, we just took what they gave us. We were down the field in less than 2 minutes. Overtime drive for the missed field goal, we just took what they gave us. We were down the field in less than 2 minutes. Our runs will come from gutting the defenses and spreading the field. I'll bet I heard twenty times yesterday "#64 is an eligable receiver". He was just in the way if you ask me. Spread the field and give our backs natural gaps at the snap.

Yes Hartley cost us the win yesterday but frankly the only reason we were put in that position was the huge time of possession advantage that we gave Atlanta. You should not be winning too many games possessing the ball 1/3 of the game. We need to manage the clock, get back to dictating games rather than have them dictated to us. We are totally letting other teams execute their gameplans against us right now.

Yea we need to keep our d off the field. Is it just me or are we getting no pressure and we aren't blitzing. Matt Ryan didn't have happy feet like Drew did.
