First let me say I stole this whole post from another board. What does it prove? Depends on what you want it to prove. But it is interesting --

Aaron Brooks vs. other selected QBs Re: turnovers
I'll preface this by saying I'm as frustrated with Brooks' fumbling problem as are most fans.

But out of my own curiosity, I wanted to see how he compares at this point to other notable QB's. To narrow the selection but still allow for an element of randomness, I'm comparing him to former Saint QBs starting for other teams, his former teammates in Green Bay who are starting and the QBs of the teams currently leading their divisions. Test group consists of 13 QBs.*

Aaron Brooks: Int: 8 Fumbles: 13 Lost: 10 Total T-overs: 18

vs. former Saints:

Jeff Blake: Int: 15 Fum: 8 Lost: 4 Total: 19

Marc Bulger: Int: 19 Fum: 5 Lost: 4 Total: 23

Kerry Collins: Int: 16 Fum: 12 Lost: 5 Total: 21

Jake Delhomme: Int: 18 Fum: 13 Lost: 4 Total: 22

vs. former Packers teammates:

Brett Favre: Int: 19 Fum: 5 Lost: 2 Total: 21

Matt Hasselbeck Int: 11 Fum: 4 Lost: 1 Total: 12

vs. Division Leaders:

Patriots -- Tom Brady: Int: 12 Fum: 12 Lost: 4 Total: 16

Chiefs -- Trent Green : Int: 9 Fum: 5 Lost: 1 Total: 10

Colts -- P. Manning: Int: 9 Fum: 3 Lost: 1 Total: 10

Ravens -- *(combined): Int: 16 Fum: 17 Lost: 7 Total: 23

Eagles -- D. McNabb: Int: 8 Fum: 9 Lost: 3 Total: 11

Vikings -- Culpepper: Int: 8 Fum: 13 Lost: 6 Total: 14

* Combined Ravens stats for Kyle Boller, Chris Redmon, and Anthony Wright.

Stats found on www.nfl.com

Observations from this test group:

-- Brooks is tied for fewest interceptions with Culpepper and McNabb at 8.

-- Brooks is tied for second most fumbles with Delhomme and Culpepper at 13. Ravens QBs have combined for 17.

-- Brooks has lost the most fumbles: 10. Of the QBs he tied with in total number of fumbles (13), Delhomme lost 4 and Culpepper lost 6.

-- Brooks has combined for 18 turnovers. That is the fewest of all currently starting QBs who are former Saints. Blake -- 19. Collins -- 21. Delhomme -- 22. Bulger -- 23.

-- 5 of the 6 QBs ahead of Brooks in total fewest turnovers play for current division leaders.

Again, this is not meant to excuse Brooks' carelessness with the football. He must improve. I was simply searching for some context to consider his turnovers with. Some of the numbers did actually surprise me.

OK. Breaks Over.........

Where are you getting these stats?

As I posted on ANOTHER thread where you claimed that Delhomme had more turnovers than Brooks, here are the stats from NFL.com, Yahoo.com and ESPN.com

Aaron Brooks 8 Int, 10 Fumb lost = 18 total turnovers
Jake Delhomme 13 Int, 4 Fumb lost = 17 total turnovers

That\'s just the ONE that I have looked into, I wish I had time to do the others. OH I SEE! YOU TOOK DELHOMME\'S ENTIRE CAREER INTERCEPTION TOTAL! Oh, then I concede. Yeah, AB MUST be have a better turnover ration when you compare his ONE YEAR total to Jake Delhomme\'s three year total. Good job!

Jake does only have 13 interceptions instead of 18. I got that info off of another board. I did some random checks in that list and they were right. I did not check Jakes until you brought it to my attention. This info come from one of the mods @ saintreport.com. I will make him aware of the mistake too. I think the rest are right though.

Jake has 13 fumbles and 13 interceptions. He lost 4 fumbles for a total of 17

Here\'s the link where I got that post from. Wouldn\'t want anyone to think I made those up. His intention wasn\'t to talk about Jake though. It was to show a comparison of other QB\'s........
