No, we don't negotiate with terrorists.

I find it funny that there seems to be a consensus that good RB's can be found later in the draft, so its unwise to burn a high pick on one.

Yet no one wants to give up a good RB in Pierre Thomas for a 1st round pick?

That's a good point, Danno. Just look at our roster of RB's. Ingram is the only first-round pick. Sproles was taken in the 4th round by San Diego. The other three backs (PT, Ivory, and Cadet) were undrafted free agent signings. As I said in my first reply to this thread in agreement with you, I wouldn't give up PT for anything but a first round pick.

I just do not want to give up PT.

Re: Could we trade Pierre to the Lions?

Pierre Thomas scratched, clawed, and fought his way onto this team. He EARNED that spot in the truest sense of the word.

If somebody wants to overpay/ overtrade (Is that even a word) then I say GREAT for him. He earned himself a contract, no doubt.

Would I be happy? HAIL no, but if somebody wants to throw a stack of cash at him I wouldn't blame him at all for going and getting it.

That said, the Lions and every other team that wants him can go piss up a rope as far as I'm concerned. LOVE watching that dude run, he's a beast

Why on earth would we trade Ingram? We haven't even fully worked him into the rotation yet? We really don't know what kind of back we have in him. The sky is the limit for that guy. Im not saying trade PT but if I was forced to pick between the two i would trade PT. Ingram is younger and from what little I have seen from him is a mad man. I think you are going to see exactly why we drafted him the way we did this year.

WIth Pierre, that would be giving up a proven for a possibility.

Wouldn't trade Ingram.
Even for a first,if you could guarantee it was a pick somewhere between 8-18 I guess Loomis would have to think about it but the Lions are likely to make the playoffs.
