Did you notice the Falcons stacking 8 in the box when Ingram was in? Can't do that with PT in the game, to much of a risk with giving up a big play off a screen.

Things would open up for Ingram if the fear of a screen was present...

That's because defenses have no idea if he is gonna get the screen or the carry. With Ingram it's obvious. Like ivory last year but Ingram can't truck anyone.

I agree we seem really predictable when Ingram is in the game. To discuss the O-Line I feel it will get better, but they looked the worst I have seen in a long time. Drew went down a couple of times and it goes without saying that we have been fortunate to have him unscathed since he has been with the Saints.

The idea behind this new blocking scheme is to seal the out side. Did anyone see that done tonight? I sure didn't. Still, it's early and they may need a little time to settle in.

I think it is a first game thing....if the fans notice it the staff will too. Things will be addressed in practice this week.

Exactly. At this point all the apologists are just reaching. Wishing it so wont make it so.
I have no reason to hate him. I am not a huge college football fan an mainly watch it from a talent perspective so I don't give a crap that he came from Alabama.

Back on topic though even Evans was off today. Back to back penalties in the red zone won't cut it.
I also saw innacuracy from Brees I have never seen before. For now I will blame THAT on the line.

Im starting to think that the loss of Aaron Kromer as O-Line coach was much bigger than we thought it would be.

I said that from the moment he left and got argued into the ground.

Please; PT had a rush average of 4.8 ypc today... It's just the O-Line getting comfortable with the zone blocking scheme
