Todd Ragusa of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana emailed us about a youth benefit raffle for 2010 Super Bowl Tickets. If you are interested in the raffle, please read the press release and information below.

”Super Bowl FOR SUPER KIDS” TO BENEFIT NEW ORLEANS’ YOUTH

Non-profit announces raffle of 2010 Super Bowl tickets and travel
(New Orleans) The NFL Youth Education Town - New Orleans Boys & Girls Club (NFL YET) launched the “Super Bowl for Super Kids” raffle to raise money for the after school center located in New Orleans' C.W. Cooper neighborhood. Contestants can play to win two tickets to the see the Saints in the Super Bowl and a $500 travel voucher.


By entering the contest, players will be directly supporting the NFL YET, which offers kids in New Orleans a safe place to learn, make friends and have fun after school. The center offers programs and services in the areas of education, technical training, life-skills development and recreation to area children.


To enter the contest, interested parties can purchase a $100.00 raffle ticket by visiting www.bgcsela.org, calling 504-566-0707 or going to the Boys& Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana office at 650 Poydras St., Suite 1000 or the NFL YET at 1140 S. Broad St. in New Orleans. Multiple tickets may be purchased by a single contestant, but only 1,000 are being sold.



The winning ticket will be selected at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the NFL YET New Orleans Club, 1140 South Broad Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70125. Join us earlier at 9:30 a.m. and bring the kids for fun and games. The event will “kick-off” with arch rival teams, NFL YET and Iberville Boys& Girls Club, facing off in a clash of the titans at the first annual Super Bowl for Super Kids Flag Football Game. Food and refreshments will be provided and several special guests will be present.


NFL Youth Education Towns are education and recreation centers constructed in Super Bowl host cities that serve as a lasting legacy of each game. The NFLYET New Orleans is a partnership with the Boys& Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana. The program provides invaluable services to area children, who visit the center daily to have a safe, nurturing place to go after school. The center boasts after school homework assistance, a game room, a New Orleans Saints sponsored activity room and a computer lab. Most of all, the center is staffed by caring individuals dedicated to enriching the lives of children who are in need of their mentorship.
