I have two quick points to make.
Point #1 - Miles was trying to call timeout on the sideline before the clock hit 9 seconds. Point #2 - The spike was not called by Miles. When asked about it as they were leaving the field you could see in his eyes that he was pissed when he said, "you can't spike the ball with one second on the clock." During the postgame press-conference, Miles said he didn't know which assistant made the call. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who. Here's a hint: he's the only other coach with a direct line of communication with the QB. |
