this is a discussion within the College Community Forum; And just imagine the debates we'll be treated to as 12 teams are equally deserving of the final 4 playoff spots....

Exactly why 4 is not enough. If you include 16 teams, no one can beotch. And you know, the 16th team will not win. Just how many teams are included in Division III playoffs? Surprise... surprise ... 2012 Division III football bracket: D3football.com

You misread my post. Even at 16 teams you could have 12 teams claiming the right to be that 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th team.

IIRC, Louisville was ranked 17th, and would likely have been excluded form a 16 game playoff.

The complaining won't stop regardless of how many teams you let in.

If you click the link... Div III shows more than 16 teams ... Besides.... There is no way Louisville beats Bama ..... errr ... is there?
