Re: Braves Fans Speak Up!
I don't know who calls the games for the Braves nowadays...that's how long it's been since I've tuned in to watch a TBS broadcast. Do they still carry the games. All I know is that it use to be Don Sutton, Skip Carey, and that bald dude, can't remember his name. I hated them. They were the most biased broadcast team ever.
Speaking of Don Sutton... I was at home one evening in West Covina, CA. The phone rings. It is my boss. He says, "Hey, what's going on." In my "Oh-no" hushed tone voice, I say, "I'm eating dinner, why?" He laughs and says, "Don't be so worried, I don't have a service call for you. I was wondering if you wanted to go out to the Big A and watch Don Sutton try for win 300." What a relief...that he didn't have a call for me...and we did go to the game and he did get his 300th. Funny, I can't even remember who they were playing. I still hated watching his broadcasts, though. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

Ernie, Skip, and Pete. I loved those guys, and I learned a lot about baseball from listening to them...Joe and Don came later, and then Chip, Skip's son.
They were pro Braves, but I always thought they were fair. |

I have really lost interest in baseball over the last few years. I wasn't too crazy about the way the league handled something that they knew was going on and turned their backs on. I especially hated the way everybody crucified Barry Bonds. I have very little interest in the Giants nowadays but maybe Tim Lincecum can change things back to the way they use to be. |

Even our 4th starter-type guys like Jim Deshaes would be the ace of our staff now.
Well Braves, you passed the suckage test, and beat the pants off the Astros, as you should. The Stros could break one of their own records this year for losses. I love baseball too, but I have a feeling, football will take me over about training camp time. |

Re: Braves Fans Speak Up!
I was sort of thinking that too, honestly.
