Last year, we had all kinds of camps going on for sports (Slo, you know what I'm talking about)...and all the volleyball/cheerleading girls and families were in the stands to cool off. It was upwards of 90+ outside. Everyone kept proping the rink's doors open and not shuting them. Mostly on accident...couple that with someone (we think) hacking the server and shutting down one of the chillers, and we had very wet ice and a 68 degree rink. (Normal is 40-50 degrees air temperature)
Yeah, my kids went to a couple of the Ferris State hockey camps back in the mid/late '90s and I remember the campus being a zoo with all the camps Ferris was running ... non-hockey parents, whattya' gonna' do?, and they all look down on hockey-parents and call us fanatical ... hey, at least we know to close the doors so the ice don't melt!
... who in their right mind thinks to hack an ice-rink server? It's gotta' be a Computer Science/IT major student at Ferris,
