The way I see it...it always helps to have an "awesome" qb but its not always the answer. Look at Marino...best ever...no rings. Look at Kelly...4 chances...no rings. Look at Peyton....argueably best in the league.....still no rings. Now look at Trent Dilfer....he's got a ring. Why? Because that Ravens team was a complete team. A defense that destroyed everyone and an offense that was good enough to score. All this talk about 2nd pick and leinart.....HUMBUG!! Lets get what we need!!! Hell I think Cutler will get the job done just as good...if we trade down a few spots for him.....we get a good QB and a chance for some extra talent. I'm gonna have to agree....we should swap with Tenn. Lets get more picks and still get talent.

I think trading Down with the Jets would be a good idea. We don't even have a 3rd round pick this year. If the FO can take the trade down and pick some extra early round picks to bolster the line and the D then do it. One player will not change the course of this team. But a good influx of two or three WILL

i think it would be lunacy for the titans to trade down 1 pick, but hey crazier things have happened in the draft.
even if the titans did offer the saints this scenario, i would have to decline. some of you on here think i am crazy, but i think leinart is leaps and bounds better than any other qb in this draft. |

I can prove you wrong with one name, and the bad thing about it is it's a local product. Jake Delhomme is ahead of brooks in the turnover making. he's been among the nfl worsts at turning it over since he got behind center... i.e. carolina wins, ravens win, tampa wins etc with sucky qb's. |

winwin,
you are leaving out an important equation in this. delhomme had difficulties during the regular seaons, but when it came to the playoffs he was on the money. dilfer was not asked to win games, just not lose them. i would hardly call brad johnson a sucky qb when he was with tampa bay, but you go ahead. |

The Jets are not trading up for a QB. It is a franchise RB or OL, they want. I see them trading down before up then a QB will be in the mix.
The titans are in need of a QB though so trading up is a very good possibility. All depends on the Texans. If they go Bush Titans will sit pat. If it is young then they will move as will the Jets. The raiders are the team that i believe are sitting best to shake up the draft. This could be were AB comes in. He will be used to get a higher pick on day one surround the third pick given up. As much as i hate to say it "Collins and Payton have a working relationship together" so i would not be surprised to see him in black and gold. It does make sense to get a QB who understands your system. That leaves you to groom the rest of team. I still want Quinn next year. |

I hope Benson isn't senile enough to forget the troubles that Collins caused (were in) while here the first time and snuffs any deal for him. Collins isn't the answer, and I doubt we'll get a trade for AB, though there might be a couple teams (re: Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago) that might take a chance so they don't have to fight in a bidding war. But more than a third rounder and we'd be lucky.
