Collins sucks yes but Payton got the most out him and he will be okay till the QB of the future is ready. besides he will be cheaper. the main point is he would not have to learn paytons system and that would free payton up to work with everyone else. I still think bringing in the more F/A the better that know payton so he can groom thier replacements. If you do not we will suck even worse next year.

I believe if you Draft a first round QB, you should start him. It's a risk, but it does also payoff at times. I wouldn't mind a FA as a backup, or competing for the starting job. I just wouldn't want him to start all year. I'd go so far as to say no more than four games, then let our new guy take the reins.

if that were to hold true, we'd get the worse of the 3 picks. "clapping my heels 3 times" there's no place like home. vince young come home to new orleans baby. |

Delhomme-3421 yds., 24 TDs, 16 INTs, 88.1 QB Rtg. So let's see: Delhomme has thrown for more yards, more TDs, less INTs, & has held a better QB rating than "Fumbles the Clown", but he's ahead of Brooks in turnover making? |

what part of turnover king didn't you get about the statement? why didn't you include the year before those 2? where delfumble led the nfl....delhomme is one of the nfl leaders in turnovers has always been since he was given a starting position, just as bad as brooks and at times worse! can't handle the truth then tough chit! |

I'm sorry. You are right & all the rest of us who know Delhomme was a better, smarter QB than "Fumbles the Clown" are wrong. It's pointless to even have this argument w/ you. |

you just don't get it, do you?? we were strictly discussing turnovers. nothing else, which qb's lead in turnovers in the nfl? what does td's come into play?? ooOOoh i forgot, it comes into play when someone is trying to make excuses for delhomme...forgive me. |

I (sadly) have to back up Winwin. Jake has had more fumbles than AB over the last three years. And more Ints. I used three years because thats the number of years BOTH have been full time starters. Though the fumbles are just that, not who recovered them so total turnovers might be less.
AB: Ints: 8 + 16 + 17 = 41 Fum: 14 + 13 + 4 = 31 JD: Ints: 16 + 15 + 16 = 47 Fum: 15 + 12 + 12 = 37 That puts Aaron at 75 total (possible) turnovers and Jake at 84. Nine more turnovers in only two more games is tough for anyone to argue as better. And Aaron only having 4 fumbles in 13 games would remove the "fumbles the clown" moniker. I don't want AB to stay, but show the guy some respect, he did win us our ONLY playoff win. All turnover stats are from NFL.com player profiles. |
