I dunno. I agree with what I believe is the spirit of this (no pun intended), but I don't want the Church up in my bid'ness any more than I want the state there.

I'd like to think so, but then there were all those witch hunts and the inquisition and all that jazz, church sponsored of course, that forces me to be juuuuuust a bit extra cautious when it comes to the church. They all want you to live like THEY live...kinda like California. LMAO

church is voluntary. state is mandatory, and demands a larger tithe.

I dont understand people's fear of church. All I saw was a bunch of old ladies, and a lot of really good home cooked food. They made me feel welcome, and didnt seem all that oppressive.

My grandma wasnt really much the "atrocity" type.

I don't think it's fear, just a desire not to repeat the mistakes committed by those that have gone before. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, state, church, Hitler, etc. LOL

Tell you what tho, those Pentecostal ladies in Leesville made the best hot tamales I ever did eat. But they'd gitup in yer bidness too.
