well the 06 NFCCG was an example of facing wrong team, wrong time, wrong place. When the Bears went to the SB that year, it was a given that Indy was going to win, much to the like of when Atl beat Minny, you knew Denver was going to win that matchup easily.
Bottom line is, the better team misses out on the SB more often than not due to the crappy scheduling system put in place after the division realignment, I mean hell, it was responsible for the Falcons 13-3 season hosting the NFCCG, all they had to do was beat a Seattle team that should of never been there to begin with. |
