Why couldnt we draft him in the seventh? If he does go to jail you wasted a seventh round pick big whoop Rooks didnt even make the team most seventh rounders dont only a select few but you kno he's a first round talent and a beast. The reward is greater than the risk. Now if gets his name clear you gotta fight prolly all 32 teams for him.

Because he'd be able to sit out one year and re-enter the draft next year

If he was drafted and then sat out a season, he'd be eligible.
Since he wasn't drafted, he's not eligible.
