By going undrafted, he signs as a UDFA picking his team and can redo his contract as yearly as the end of the second year. 1.75 mill is not much compared to a first rounder but his pay day all rookies wait for comes 2 to 3 years earlier than every one else drafted so Lloyd of London here he comes for those first two years and insures the heck out of himself. then payday before every player drafted. say what they want about the agent. I say Smart move. now give him all he wants and sign this kid. guarantees all day long |
Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
Snagging him would be like getting a little revenge on Roger for the bounty years... It would seem like we got another first... Who knows whrere he signs but at least let us be in the mix.....

Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
Sounds like he and his agent are chasing the money
Dont think we see him in black and gold NFL Draft Diamonds @DraftDiamonds 3m3 minutes ago LSU G/T La'El Collins wants to sign with a team that will allow him to play tackle to help him maximize his earnings #Bills #Dolphins |
Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
Other than being drafted in the 1st round the absolute best for him was not to be drafted at all. Now he signs with whom ever he wants and can renegotiate his deal after 2 years, if he was drafted he would have to wait at least 3. All the rest of that stuff about players drafted between this number and that number will not apply if he's as good as advertised.
Teams could have drafted him and it would have been his choice to sign or not but he loses in the long run if that team decides to hold the right to him for as long as possible. I wish this man all the best if he's is totally cleared in any wrongdoing, he definitely didn't deserve this but he has to take a little responsibility by not making himself available when requested. |

He didn't do any of this, only saying he has an alibi from what I have read. Guess what? Not being around the crime scene is not saying you had nothing to do with it. |

Anything you say can AND WILL be used against you. Lawyers suck. They're trained to spin. Guilty or otherwise (and I sure hope otherwise regardless of where he lands), he's best to go radio silent, and his lawyer is wise for seeing to it. |
Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
I get that part about radio silence but there are some general statements he could have made. He never said anything other than he has an alibi. What about wanting to find who did it? Grief for their family? Nope. Nothing. If not for that, who knows, maybe he gets drafted. All I know is that if I was accused of it in the media I would clear my name with or without the police. I don't need the police to tell me I'm not a killer.

Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
I personally think his agent has advised him really badly.
They have come across as arrogant and looking for money. |
