this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Don't like the Cam Newton pouty persona, towel over the head thing... Really didn't like him after his early Freshman offenses at Florida with no consequences... Nor do I care for the talking head media anointing him when he hasn't ...

Really didn't like him after his early Freshman offenses at Florida with no consequences... Nor do I care for the talking head media anointing him when he hasn't won a Superbowl... Newton can't hit the side of a barn in a pro-set, though he can chunk it a country mile... That said, I can't be a hypocrite; I thought his statement to be honest, funny, and real... There are far more egregious offenses like (i.e. assault, battery on women) that are worse on my scale... And it seems political correctness has more value to the NFL, NFLPA and the Fat Cat Sponsors - and that really just befuddles me... |
