That’s one way to look at things..., another way to look at things is bouncing off the idea that DB#9 starting has actually been more of a negative than a positive. If you believe in that philosophy, then look at the success (not championship level obviously) the Saints have had, in spite of a weakened, oft injured, Drew Brees.![]()
Putting a healthy QB in, that can run the entire playbook, might be all it takes to challenge at the next level, for a long period of time. |

Whats happened is is at one point Brees carried the Saints, but theirs been no team successfully carry Brees because the problem is the QB position outweighs all. Few times in NFL history has a team over come a bad QB in order to win a SB. Not to say Brees is a bad QB, but hes been less than stellar the last 3 years. |
