I know it sounds cliché', but watching the bowl last night …

Defense wins championships. Especially considering that in today's NFL, it favors the offense. JPP, Vea and Suh had Patrick running for his life most of the the game. KC back ups were no match for an already stout Bucs d line.

They were dominant in the trenches when they had to be.

At least now we all can agree that Tampa's defense is why we lost and not because our weak arm QB couldn't throw the deep ball. The bucs d shutdown the strongest arm QB and fastest WR in the league. Didn't even score 1 TD.

I was waiting for this to be said... Mahomes threw 2 INTs as well. Id say that Mahomes and Brees fared equally as well against the same defense which may speak more to 'any given Sunday' than anything but it is notable none the less.

The difference in this game was KCs Fisher getting hurt at the end of the Bills game. They were in Mahomes grill all night. Also didn’t help that they dropped passes that Kelce and other WRs usually catch.

Also, TB got every call in that game as well as some shady ones against us that also changed the flow of the game.

Brees and the offense, especially Cook simply played poorly in the game.

The Chiefs want to attack teams vertically so with poor online play you would expect their numbers to be down. I will say that I expected them to make some adjustments and get the ball out quickly but they didnt and it cost them.
