Agree but if you are a contender and you want him, he is one of the best run defenders around then I'd give up a 5-7th in a heart beat. Why risk not getting him as a FA when you can give up a pick and secure him

Loosing this guy isn't great imho.

There's a few players going out the door that will send the defense back a fair bit.

Loosing Brown and Rankins leaves you short of quality and rotation up front.

Add in T Rex, Williams and that's a big chunk out of this defense.

I'd extend Brown over lose him

Its all fun and games until you don't have a run defense.

Perhaps a pass happy league but as soon as teams see you can't stop the run they will exploit that. Look what Sean does. You don't stop our run game fine we will run it 10-12 plays in a row.

We need Brown. However he's not cheap but he's a dynamite DT and our run game defense dropped dramatically when he was out. He is an impact player we can't afford to lose.
