Re: 2021 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Well, it had to happen, Chris...
Think about it, at some point when you over use the free agency route, a team's cap will inevitably reach critical mass and you end up losing more players than you'd like... We had a healthy balance of Draft and Free Agency last in 2017 which was a single biggest jump in regular season success in years... In fact, maybe not popular, but we'd been better had Drew retired as was initially anticipated the previous season (with a Superbowl win)... And we'd taken our lumps this past season so we could jump up in a deep QB class this year - if Taysom or Other Kid is not our next guy... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Really liked what I saw of Grant Haley in Week 17; Washington has the raw talent, so we'll see what Kris Richard can do; but damn, sure hope we can re-sign our DBs depth...
P.J. Williams (who I'd like to see if Richard can improve his trajectory), and even Ken Crawley; that would at least minimize need... |

Re: 2021 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Biggest holes in the roster are CB2 - maybe Kris Richard can turn P.J. around?
Linebacker opposite DeMario - Baun just looks like a JACK LBer to me, not that that's bad, he just doesn't seem fluid enough to cover like a second WILL... Like our depth at DT, but we really need a quality running mate with Onyemata on the inside... And then there's the interior offensive line - still have question marks about Ruiz and Peat... We can draft a speedster WRz (if Sean doesn't f'up and move up) in the third round... And we're gonna need to sign a TE2 for the jumbo packages - but I've heard Ethan Wolf already can be our TE3, so there's that... Then there's that whole "competition" thing at quarterback... |

As far as LB goes... I love Baun as a football player. I don’t love Baun in our scheme. We should’ve traded him and kept Malcom Brown. |

Sure, the odds aren't there and we definitely need another horse in the DB stable, but just like to see what Richard can get out of this group, even Crawley for depth... |
