Jenkins was signed for his leadership and maturity - he failed miserably...

Let me repeat, he was signed for those intrinsic qualities he failed upon his first test...

If I'm signed to that kind of money, no I'm not schitting my hat right out the box on things I can control...

Possible mauler for years to come at LT? Landon has a lot of potential. Good, quick feet to say he's such a big man. Also uses his leverage/hips to get low.

JP - in the few highlights I've seen over the past few months, Landon really looks like a pure LEFT TACKLE. I think he can hold his own on an island out there.

Thoughts?

Major, the tell is in the language of the Ryan Ramczyk contract; he's going to get $1M bonuses if he makes All-Pro at Left Tackle...

Plus one with Rugs; liked the Saints thinking that McCoy's speed, stamina, they could use him like a bowling ball going downfield for Kamara et al...

But if Ruiz can't grasp the concepts and reads at Center, then we've got to find another Center or Right Guard; Clapp would be the immediate remedy...

Clapp has the head for it, he's just has to get stronger, naturally of course...

It was a horrible re-signing and we will watch him get exposed as an older, troublesome defensive back in the way of an upcoming player...

All so Sean and Dennis can save face on a bad re-signing...

It really doesn't matter at all what we as fans feel about an individual. The FACT is that the players ALL respect Jenkins. Your dislike of Jenkins appears to stem from political motivations. If you haven't stopped to notice, the vast majority of NFL players are of the same political ilk as is Jenkins.

McCoy's rookie season was before the #WuhanPandemic...

Saints graded Ruiz high, saw he was there, and McCoy had shown rare, elite speed to get downfield and so they thought to move McCoy to Right Guard...

But Ruiz was unable to grasp the offensive calls, limited time because of the pandemic, so McCoy stayed at Center and Ruiz was tried at Guard...

Sorry, but I do not remember Ruiz being "unable to grasp the offensive calls" at center or not grasping "the concepts and reads at Center". That was his strength at Michigan. Where did you get that information? Ruiz never got the opportunity to handle center last season at all.

Saints 2020 Year-in-Review: Cesar Ruiz

"Coaches planned on McCoy, predominantly a guard in college at Texas A&M, and Ruiz to each have reps at guard and center during preseason games to find their best fits. Unfortunately, a nationwide outbreak of COVID-19 forced the cancelation of offseason workouts, preseason games, and limited training camp.

Coaches felt that leaving McCoy at center would provide the best continuity during a limited offseason. That left Ruiz to learn a new position at the NFL level with fewer reps."

So a rational mind would know that is impossible to verify, quantify, or qualify...

No where in that article does it address his trying to play center. You claimed that Ruiz was "unable to grasp the offensive calls" at center or not grasping "the concepts and reads at Center". That entire article was referring to his acclimating to a new position at guard.

I'm sorry JP, but you clearly misremembered. It happens at times.

I am simply referring to what I have heard about him from players on television and radio. The terms well liked by all and respected by all were common themes. That is a fact. He is also one of the eleven members of the NFL Players Coalition, whom are all respected members of the NFL community. The others include Demario Davis, Anquan Boldin, Chris Long, Devin McCourty, Doug Baldwin, Ben Watson, Kelvin Beachum, Torry Smith, Josh Norman, and Josh McCown. They all have that popularity amongst the general NFL membership in common.

I understand you have a personal dislike for Jenkins, but you are terribly mistaken if you think that his fellow players feel the same way.

You are detached from reality, even as you state it in your posts, rants...
