The decision hasn't yet been made at QB. A contract was signed. There is still a little time until the season begins. I do not believe Winston will ever take us to the promised land, but it is only my opinion and everyone has one. That said, I am a Saints fan so I am pulling for us. My dislike for Winston, will never blind my love for the Saints. Fortunately, he has been able to get over the past rape allegations, crotch grabbing allegations and crab leg stealing.

I want to make it clear, I don’t expect Winston to lead the Saints to the promised land either. But I would say that if they had Wilson, Mahomes, Brady or any other QB for that matter. We all witnessed 15 years of one of the top 5 QBs ever to play lead our favorite team and we were very fortunate to have things bounce our way and win one championship. 1/3 of the leagues teams have never won one. Many HOF QBs never won one. Many below average QBs with less than noteworthy careers (guys clearly less talented than Winston) have. Winning a SB is an awesome accomplishment that requires a lot of overall team talent and luck. But I can say when you look at all the Tollivers, Blakes, Shulers, Brooks, etc that the Saints have gone into the season with I am honestly more optimistic about Winston’s potential with the team than I was about any new Saints QB and that includes Brees coming to the team with his surgically repaired shoulder. If people like voodoo want to look at only one stat, declare him a loser and root against him, that is their right to do so. I choose to be a little more open minded.

Be careful about including luck as a factor in winning it all.

Great point. Arians deserves little credit for the SB IMO Brady made him change the offense. Bowles turned the defense around in two years but really the last several games.

I agree. The Bucs and Brady overcame the handicap of Arians to win it all.

Re: Nice words from Winston.

Then why did they basically scrap the offense after their bye week in favor of a Tom Brady friendly approach?

And why did all of the guys shown in the pics throw a ton of interceptions in their first year with Ariens?

Because Tom is 43yo and couldn't do the things Arians had drawn up in the past that worked...

Remember, Sean Payton took four seasons to adjust, tweak the offense to Drew's abilities...
